Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs)The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) is a charity which is owned by Skillsactive the Sector Skills Council and has been set up to help safeguard and promote the health and interests of people who are using the services of exercise and fitness instructors, teachers and trainers. The charity is overseen by a Board of Governers and the day to day administration is undertaken by a small group of staff and uses a process of self-regulation that recognises industry-based qualifications, practical competency, and requires exercise professionals to work within a Code of Ethical Practice. Members of the Register are issued with a card and registration certificate to prove their qualification and membership. Also known as the Exercise Register it operates in the UK and across the world to recognise personal achievement and competencies of qualified exercise professionals. Membership of REPs through your professional organisation, Yoga Scotland, presently stands at £8 renewable on 31 January each year. Further information can be obtained from www.exerciseregister.org
