  • Receive our newsletter ‘Journal' via email twice a year
  • Yoga Scotland magazine: a digital copy emailed to your inbox as part of your membership. Printed magazine - this is now an additional £5.

  • Insurance - due to new regulations from the Financial Conduct Authority governing insurance we are no longer able to offer insurance directly to our members through Yoga Scotland. Being a member of Yoga Scotland gives you access to a significant discount for insurance. As a teaching member with insurance, our insurer will contact you directly to arrange renewal. For new teaching members, they will need to apply via our online application at:   https://wellbeinginsurance.co.uk/instructors-therapists-quote/.  This will ensure the insurers have the latest information that they need to provide cover.  The form asks about training, to ensure the new member has trained with or are members of Yoga Scotland to be eligible for the preferable discounted rates. You now also have the ability to insure non yoga related activities tailored to your needs.
  • Teacher Membership is £45

FAQs

Why is there now a supplement for a paper magazine?

The Board of Trustees have taken the necessary decision to introduce an additional fee for a paper copy of our magazine. At present our magazine incurs a large cost, most of which is related to the printing and postage. This cost is not sustainable as the Board required to ensure good governance of the Yoga Scotland finances.  As a member you will receive a digital copy free as part of your membership.

Why isn't insurance now part of my membership?

Due new regulations from the Financial Conduct Authority , Yoga Scotland are unable to act as a 'bridge' offer insurance directly to you our members. Our insurer will now offer you insurance directly. As a member of Yoga Scotland you are eligible for a substantial discount which makes the cost of membership plus insurance comparable to if you were taking out your own insurance. As a result we have altered our membership prices to reflect this.

Why has membership changed?

Yoga Scotland as a charity organisation needs to operate at a profit in order to continue. While the organisation is currently in a strong financial position, we must continue to do so to secure the longevity of the organisation. The changes to our membership aim to do this while continuing to offer you, as a valued member, discounted access to our reputable training courses and magazine at great value.
